A: For most events, I charge $75 an hour with a minimum of 4 hours. (So, if the event is only 3 hours, the rate will still be $300.) If an event is incredibly large (read anything over 2000 people), the rate will probably change.
This rate includes a full setup (at a minimum, two Alto TS15s and a powerful sub). Depending on your needs, I can add more to this setup at minimal cost. Custom lighting or needs for larger venues will probably require a different rate.
A: For weddings or other events that will need more planning, I require a $100.00 deposit at least two weeks in advance of the gig. This helps me assess your event's needs and how I can best help it be a success.
A: I prefer checks written out to either 'DJ Lefthand' or 'Lefthanded Ent.', but I also will accept payments via Stripe, Cash App, and Venmo.
A: As cool as it would be, no. Today, it is simply not economical or practical to keep up with new music on vinyl. I heavily support the medium, and run a couple of events dedicated to keeping the format alive. Check this out for more.
A: For most gigs, I have a couple of sets of turntables that use Pioneer's Rekordbox, a digital vinyl system that acts (for the most part) like a set of records. I always have at least two backup mediums with me at any gig. This includes at least one additional laptop and a crate of vinyl to keep things going should there be any issues.
A: Yes. I have a completely different website for that sort of thing here.
A: While I am in no way a replacement for a solid marketing team; if I am booked to play at your event, I am happy to share flyers across all of the channels that I frequent. (This includes: Facebook, Instagram and Soundcloud.) I ask that you send me any marketing materials you want to use at least two weeks out from the start of your event.
A: Yes, I work with a variety of musicians and other DJs on a few different types of events. I book talent for Barrel Room Sessions to showcase local musicians in my area, and work with a number of DJs in my area to cover weddings, bars and more. Two of my go to guys are Jerseyboy and Skid Siglin, both experienced DJ's who have been playing and supporting fans for a number of years.
A: Yes. Any event I do is covered for up to $100,000.00 in damages and/or losses. When booking me for a gig, I will also send you a copy of my current policy. Please contact me directly for more information about this.
